Perlyn Severe, LMFT, CADAC
Marriage and Family Therapist
My therapeutic approach requires collaboration, consistency and exploration. It is important that the clients I serve are empowered, as evident by them learning and implementing life-changing tools beyond the therapeutic setting. I encourage rigorous honesty, open-mindedness, and a willingness to engage in the process.
I support clients by assessing their individual needs and commitment to developing essential coping skills for personal improvement. I am a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in Delaware and Pennsylvania, and I hold an advanced certification in Substance Use Disorder (CADAC). With over 20 years of experience, I have worked with diverse populations including families, couples, adolescents, geriatrics, young adults, and those requiring early intervention. After the pandemic, I became passionate about understanding grief and the impact on families. I belive in the power of guiding individuals through their personal experieces. My goal is to help navigate the complexiities of loss, find constructive ways to cope, and untimately rediscover hope and meaning in their lives.
My specializations includes Couples & Family therapy, addiction treatment, grief & trauma where I utilize various theory-based, and evidence-based practices. I advocate for my clients to create a healthy balance by enhancing and empowering the whole person. I look forward to being a part of your healing journey.
