Marcus Scarfo, LPCMH, ATR-P, CT

Counselor & Art Therapist, Certified Thanatologist

Vice President

Clinical Supervisor

As a licensed professional counselor of mental health, provisional registered art therapist, and certified thanatologist, I am deeply committed to helping individuals navigate the complexities of grief and trauma with compassion, creativity, and care.

I hold a master’s degree in Art Therapy and Counseling from Drexel University and am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working in a variety of settings—including a juvenile detention center, a community mental health organization, and private practice—which has strengthened my belief in the resilience of the human spirit.

In my work with adults of all ages, I offer both individual and group therapy. My approach is collaborative and strength-based, grounded in the understanding that each person’s healing journey is unique. I integrate a variety of therapeutic modalities to meet the individual needs of my clients, creating a safe and supportive space where they can explore, heal, and grow.

In addition to my clinical work, I serve as Vice President of The Center for Grief and Trauma Therapy, where I also provide supervision and mentorship to emerging clinicians.

At the heart of my practice is a deep respect for the courage it takes to seek help and the trust it takes to share one’s story. My goal is to walk alongside each client as they rediscover hope, connection, and meaning in the midst of loss and life’s challenges.
