Megan Carpenter
Yoga instructor
Healing journeys are holistic and encompass every aspect of our lives. My own healing journey brought me to yoga and movement over 10 years ago, and I am passionate about sharing these modalities with others. I am a certified yoga instructor that works with clients from a somatic and holistic lens, bringing in practices that meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of my clients, but also holding space for clients to access deep healing. I support my clients as they allow their body to balance itself, cultivating present moment awareness and inviting curiosity, inquiry, and exploration from within. I blend traditional yoga, somatic movement techniques, breath work, meditation, nervous system regulation, and Reiki energy healing into a beautiful and individual experience for every client. Reiki is a Japanese energy healing technique used to promote relaxation, balance self-energy, and cultivate emotional well-being. Practitioners like myself channel universal life energy into clients to help release stress, alleviate pain, and enhance the body’s natural healing processes. It’s a soothing experience that fosters a deep sense of peace and rejuvenation.
Here at the Center for Grief and Trauma Therapy I offer trauma informed and somatic based small group classes combining gentle yoga, yin yoga, and restorative yoga practices along with breath work and meditation. I also work with clients one-on-one, offering holistic yoga, meditation and mindfulness, and Reiki healing.
